Logo type experiments

The mandate for this was more 'gritty' I started with the existing font, although they did nt like it, i soon moved onto others and tried different crops and cut outs to make it more 'gritty' textured and interesting. What we finally decided on was the bottom logo, but what we wanted t do to make it more apropriate was to make a stamp of the logo and print with it and re scan it to give it  texture.

After laser cutting the logo type out I made it into a stamp to make made it more textured.

Organisation on there part.

Meeting with Art and Design

The first meeting was upon us, although it was seeming well over due. We were pleasently suprised they came very open minded to our input as the design team, but they also came with a clear concept and staritng point of where they wanted to go with the project. We also learnt the reason for the lateness of the first meeting was due to the course team gathering almost all the information making our lives much easier in the long run not having to chace them up.

Tickets

I've routed out a couple of old tickets to look at the format of them and how they are layed out and what information is on them, most ticket including these are generic or general to the venue. Something I think would work really well is a ticket designed specifically to the event, tickets are memorabiallia to alot of people and this would make a better momento than a generic ticket.

Theatre Caricatures

While researching some illustration styles with James we came across this guys work and illustrator from Florida, http://riktoonz.blogspot.co.uk/ we wanted to make something in keeping with this style which we think will work really well with what we are trying to create.

Comunication with UTC

After being linked to a message via Facbook in which a start up theatre company in London where looking for a graphic designer to help with some promotional matterial I thought this would be a good suplementary brief for my FMP. I quickly emailed them and arranged a skype meeting about what they were looking for and if I thought I could help them. We had the meeting and we decided it would be a good opertunity for us both to work together.
