Getting it to work
–
Taking many hours trying to figure out how to make my idea come to life I stumbled uppon buttons in Adobe InDesign. this allows me not not only create a rollover but also a click link thorugh to other pages.
How it works (roll over)
Index idea/rollover

I was working on the PDF aspect of the Yearbook and laying out the names in a telephone directory sort of thing something that had come up in the intial meeting we had had. This didnt look very good/I couldnt get it to work in a way that would be effective. It then accured to me that we were working with an interactive PDF, this allows a great deal of flexibility. This lead me to think about linking the names to the persons specific page. But something that had been heavily used in the printed aspect of this publication was the photos of the students. We had edited the original image, I thought it would be a good idea to have a roll over from one image to the other and then have a click link and through to the persons page. But this will take some investigation.

PDF Ideas and meeting
–
We met up with the course team once again to now discuss the second phase of the project, the PDF, they again like before where very open to our designs and ideas. They were also very aware of the presures we are under in terms of the other work we have to do. either way they had a few requirements and a few ideas to bring to the table. requirements; things like double page spread per person information bios picture on there page with work. nothing out of the ordinary.

Folding for the printers
–
The printed part of this Yearbook is pretty complicated so it wasnt too much of a suprise when the printers got back in touch sothey could double check the way the folds work. We sent them a small mock up of the folds. everything is back on track now.
Printers Proofs
–
Today we got the proofs back from the printers for us to ceck and make sure everything was present and correct, it was, we where happy and it was again approved to print.
